Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the top-tier model in its newly released Xiaomi 17 series, alongside the 17 and 17 Pro. The Pro Max stands out with its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship chipset, dual-screen design, and one of the largest batteries seen in a flagship phone this year. This launch marks Xiaomi’s bold attempt to push the boundaries of premium smartphone design and performance.
Performance and Software
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3 nm process, paired with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The device runs Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 on top, offering smooth performance and advanced multitasking.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was launched in China with a starting price of CNY 5,999 (around INR 74,700) for the 12 GB + 512 GB variant. Other configurations like 16 GB + 512 GB and 16 GB + 1 TB cost higher. At the moment, Xiaomi has not confirmed a global release date or India launch plans for the Pro Max, and it remains primarily a China-exclusive model so far.
