Chinese smartphone maker Realme is all set to launch its new Realme GT 8 series next week. The lineup will include Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro. The company has collaborated with Ricoh Imaging to develop the camera system for these smartphones, marking the first integration of Ricoh’s GR series technology in a smartphone.
Realme announced on its official Weibo post that the GT 8 series will launch on October 21. The Pro model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The GT 8 Pro will feature a 2K 10-bit LTPO BOE flat OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and an immersive experience for gaming and multimedia.
The GT 8 series will sport an integrated camera system developed jointly with Ricoh Imaging. The GT 8 Pro will come with a 200MP 1/1.56-inch Samsung HP 5 periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
It will offer 28mm and 40mm focal lengths along with a quick focus mode, allowing users to pre-set the focus distance. The phone will also feature an ultra-high transparency lens group, meeting Ricoh GR’s optical standards. There is also a possibility of a swappable camera module in these smartphones.
The Realme GT 8 Pro may include a 7,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired fast charging. For security, it is expected to feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
