CBSE Class 10 Admit Card 2026 Released for Private Candidates: Check Download Steps, Important Dates, and Latest Updates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the admit cards for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates for the 2026 board examinations. Eligible private students can now download their hall tickets directly from the official CBSE website. These admit cards include essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre, and subject-wise schedule. Without a printed admit card, students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall, so it’s important to download and carry it in advance.

Regular Students to Get Admit Cards Through Schools

For regular CBSE Class 10 students, admit cards have not yet been made available online. Instead, schools will receive the admit cards from CBSE and distribute them directly to students. School authorities typically receive links or secure access to download the hall tickets and hand them over to students well before the exams.

Expected Release Timeline

Board exam hall tickets for Class 10 students are generally released in early February, shortly before the scheduled start of the board exams. CBSE board exams in 2026 are set to begin from February 17, and admit cards are expected to be distributed to schools in the first week of February so students can obtain them in time.

How to Download CBSE Class 10 Admit Card (Private Candidates)

Private candidates who are eligible for the Class 10 board exams can now follow these steps to download their admit cards:

  1. Visit the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) or the dedicated admit card portal.
  2. Look for the link for “Class 10 Private Candidate Admit Card 2026.”
  3. Enter the required login details such as application number, previous roll number, or candidate’s name and parent’s name.
  4. After entering the correct information, the admit card will appear on screen — download it and take a clear printed copy.

Students should check all details on the admit card carefully, including name, roll number, exam centre address, subject exam dates, and reporting time. Any errors must be reported to CBSE authorities or the regional office immediately to avoid last-minute issues.

What’s on the Admit Card

A CBSE Class 10 admit card typically contains:

  • Candidate’s full name and photograph
  • Roll number and date of birth
  • Exam centre address and centre code
  • Subject-wise exam dates and timings
  • Important instructions for candidates before and during the exam

Importance of the Admit Card

The CBSE admit card is an essential document for board examinations. Students cannot enter the exam hall without a printed admit card, and in some cases, the original signed copy may be required. Schools usually provide admit cards to students, and private candidates download them themselves.
