2026 Honda CB750 Hornet Unveiled With E-Clutch and Fresh Looks — A Streetfighter That’s Easier to Ride

Honda has updated its popular mid-capacity naked motorcycle, the CB750 Hornet, for the 2026 model year with meaningful enhancements that make everyday riding easier and more enjoyable. The biggest new addition is Honda’s E-Clutch system, which automates clutch operation to simplify gear shifts without losing the traditional manual experience. Besides tech upgrades, Honda also introduced vibrant new dual-tone colour options, while retaining the Hornet’s sharp styling and strong performance roots.

Performance and Engine

Under the muscular body of the 2026 Hornet lies the familiar 755 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine equipped with PGM-FI fuel injection. It produces approximately 90.5 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, offering strong mid-range thrust and engaging performance for both city riding and open roads.

This engine configuration has been praised for its balance of everyday usability and sporting character, while still being accessible to riders who want a versatile streetfighter.

E-Clutch Technology — A Big Change for Riders

A major highlight for the 2026 CB750 Hornet is its new E-Clutch system. This semi-automatic clutch technology uses electronic actuators to manage clutch engagement during gear changes, meaning riders don’t need to pull the clutch lever for shifting in many conditions — especially useful in heavy city traffic or relaxed cruising. Riders can still choose to operate the clutch manually if they prefer a more traditional feel.

This innovation aligns the Hornet with other recent Honda bikes adopting E-Clutch, supporting smoother gear transitions with less effort for both new and experienced riders.

Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

The 2026 model carries over a well-sorted chassis featuring:

  • Showa 41 mm SFF-BP upside-down front forks for sharp, responsive handling
  • Rear Pro-Link monoshock for stable rear suspension
  • Dual 296 mm front discs with radial-mount calipers and a 240 mm rear disc, both backed by dual-channel ABS for strong, controlled braking.

These components give the CB750 Hornet a confident feel at speed and agile behaviour in urban riding.

Features and Electronics

The 2026 Hornet is equipped with a set of modern tech features that make it more rider-friendly and connected:

  • 5-inch full-colour TFT instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support
  • Four riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain and User
  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)
  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
  • LED lighting and automatic indicator cancellation.

These features improve convenience and safety in everyday riding, and the display helps riders stay informed and connected on the go.

Design and New Colours

The Hornet retains its aggressive, minimalist streetfighter silhouette with sharp bodywork and a compact stance. For 2026, Honda has introduced four new dual-tone colour options — from stealthy blacks to standout yellows and metallic finishes — giving riders more choices for personal expression.

Will It Come to India?

While Honda hasn’t officially confirmed an India launch for the 2026 CB750 Hornet, the previous generation was sold here by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in the BigWing lineup. The 2025 version was priced around ₹9.22 lakh (ex-showroom). If the new model arrives, it may carry a price premium due to the added technology and features.
